Genex is a world leading cattle breeding company based in Shawano, Wisconsin, USA. Genex was instrumental in developing the lifetime Net Merit index (NM) many years ago which was adopted by the USDA. In 2014, Genex again pioneered the Ideal Commercial Cow Index (ICC). ICC is aimed to help dairy farmers evaluate cows by the number of $$$ brought in, not aimed for a beauty contestant or simply high TPI values without a profit.
Genex’s Toystory produced over 2.4 million units of bovine semen, a world record. See the featured article on the Wall Street Journal (http://www.wsj.com/articles/a-breeder-apart-the-bull-who-sired-500-000-offspring-is-gone-1421196530)
Evergen has the exclusive right to distribute and retail Genex’s bovine semen in China. In 2005 China opened its door to US semen and Evergen imported its first shipment of 5,000 doses from Genex in the same year. Since then, Evergen has created a brand name for Genex’s semen in China. Currently Evergen supplies bovine semen to all major dairy farms and dairy processors in China including Yili, Modern Dairy, AustAsia, Sino Farm and other major players in the Chinese dairy industry.
